For today’s #SundaySpotlight, the Lafourche Schools Spotlight is on Lilly Chauffe.
Lilly is the daughter of Megan and Josh Chauffe and is a second-grade student at Galliano Elementary School. She was nominated for the spotlight by GES principal Amy Leblanc for the positive impact she has on her school and community through academics and the performing arts. She recently qualified as a TAG theatre and music student and starred in a local production of “Annie Jr." put on by Club 1273 Music & Arts Academy.
“Lilly is a hard-working, vibrant 2nd grade student,” Leblanc said. “Her hard work and passion for performing shows in her academics as well as her talents in the arts. Lilly makes her school and community shine bright through her talents!"
In addition to her academic success and artistic abilities, Lilly’s parents are also proud of how she has overcome shyness to become an outgoing, helpful friend to others.
“The thing we are most proud of is how far she’s come out of her shell,” shared her mom, Megan. “As a younger child, she was very shy and quiet and would not leave our sides. Now she is so outgoing and has a love for being on a stage. She is super kind and caring and always goes out of her way to help others. She loves to help people. She is a great friend and tries to always cheer up her peers.”
“She is super smart and talented,” Megan added. “She always makes sure her homework is completed and even helps her younger sister, Amelia, out with hers at home. She loves to learn. She is always watching educational shows and learning random facts. A fun fact about her is she and her sister are 10.5 months apart and are the same age every year for 36 days.”
Please join us in celebrating Lilly for the positivity she brings to her family, school, community and the Lafourche Parish School District.
